So what’s going on, Andy?i’m so glad you asked!

Issue 64 of McSweeney‘s quarterly concern is officially out and my peace, crypto acoustic auditory non-hallucination, is in it!

The printed version is a big box of stuff with objects representing each individual piece. I think there’s about a dozen or so. It also has a companion website that hosts the audio that coincides with every piece. And then there is an accessible version of the whole damn thing that has transcripts, image descriptions, and sound descriptions. It is accessible on a bunch of different levels.

Here is more info on the Issue.

You can purchase it from the store or from your local bookseller. And here is the Link to the Accessible version. Image and sound descriptions for my piece were provided by The very wonderful, Shannon Finnegan.

All I want to tell you about this article and archival audio is that it has everything to do with a theory that blind people can hear trans-dimensionally.

Many thanks to Lucy Newton for her involvement in this research

Pending-

I worked on the sound design with choreographer, Maggie Bridger, on her latest piece, Pending. It debuted in early October as part of the Counter Balance festival hosted by Momenta dance company. The performance film includes open audio description. Watch it on Vimeo.

I will post updates soon about the upcoming Calculator Font release and performances. I will also have an announcement regarding the Infinate Distance exhibition at the Transmediale fest. Hold tight!
